Adding Custom Domain Calendars to Ical

After not finding out how to do this on the Internets, I figured I should try and spread the word. I tried Googles new “colaboration” tool, but that only works for calenders that you have admin rights for.

My job uses a custom google domain for email, calender, etc. I wanted to view my co-workers calenders in Ical, and here is how you do it.

Ical -> file -> preferences -> add an account

Description: The name that will show up on the sidebar in Ical

Username: you whole custom domain email address (name@customdomain.com)

Password: duh

The click down to server options.

Account Url: https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/“name”%40”customdomain”.com/user

(remove the quotes).

Click Add.

Ical should find the calender and add it to your iCal. Done and Done.
